Trancas
Trancas is a neighborhood located in the city of Malibu, California. The neighborhood is situated in the western part of Malibu and it is known for its luxury homes, spacious lots, and scenic views. The name Trancas comes from the Spanish word for "train tracks", as the neighborhood is located near the historic Pacific Coast Railroad tracks.
Trancas was developed in the 1950s and 1960s, and it is considered one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in Malibu. The neighborhood features a mix of architectural styles, from Mediterranean, and traditional, to modern and contemporary. Many of the homes have panoramic ocean and mountain views, and it's known for its upscale amenities, such as the Trancas Country Market, a popular shopping center that features a collection of high-end shops, cafes, and restaurants, as well as the Malibu West Beach Club, Tennis courts, and the Trancas Canyon park
The area is close to many of the city's best schools, shopping centers, and restaurants. It is also just a short drive from many of the area's popular beaches and recreational areas, such as Surfrider Beach, Malibu Lagoon State Beach, and Zuma Beach.
